2026 provincial export-oriented industry cluster assessment results released

The results of the 2026 Anhui provincial export-oriented industry cluster assessment have been released. Following rounds of application, recommendation, preliminary review, third-party assessment and public notice, three clusters in Wuhu were selected: the Jinghu district export-oriented industry cluster (automobiles and auto parts), the Wuhu Hi-Tech Industrial Development Zone (Yijiang district) export-oriented industry cluster (automobiles and auto parts), and the Wuhu Hi-Tech Industrial Development Zone (Yijiang district) export-oriented industry cluster (high-end equipment).
The selection of the Jinghu district cluster marks a major step forward for the district in developing export-focused auto and aftermarket industries. Going forward, Jinghu will prioritize resource allocation and institutional support for its automotive components sector, introduce targeted incentive policies, and build an integrated public service platform for market development, customs clearance, logistics and foreign trade compliance. The district will also strengthen its auto parts export advantages, foster new business formats such as cross-border e-commerce and overseas warehouses, and extend and upgrade the industrial chain.
As a major auto hub in the Yangtze River Delta, the Wuhu Hi-Tech Industrial Development Zone (Yijiang district) cluster for automobiles and auto parts has built an integrated ecosystem covering complete vehicles, core parts, intelligent connected vehicles and aftermarket services. The zone is home to over 360 enterprises, led by Jetour Automobile, Chery Commercial Vehicles and CIMC Ruijiang, with a local sourcing ratio of 82 percent. Leveraging Wuhu Port, the Sanshan port area and the China-Europe (Central Asia) Railway Express, products are exported to more than 120 countries and regions, with average annual export growth of nearly 30 percent over the past three years.
The zone's high-end equipment cluster focuses on shipbuilding and marine engineering, smart home appliances and modern agricultural machinery. It hosts a number of leading enterprises and specialized SMEs, including Wuhu Shipyard, Gree Electric Appliances and Zoomlion Agricultural Machinery, forming a full-chain system spanning R&D, manufacturing, supply and export. Sustained investment in R&D has produced multiple technological breakthroughs that ended foreign monopolies and reached internationally advanced levels.
The Wuhu Hi-Tech Industrial Development Zone (Yijiang district) will continue to grow its two pillar industries — automobiles and auto parts, and high-end equipment — through leading enterprise support, supply chain optimization, innovation and global market expansion. It will accelerate breakthroughs in key technologies, leverage multimodal transport advantages to expand global trade channels, and help enterprises shift from exporting products to exporting technologies and brands, fueling high-quality development of the export-oriented economy.
