The 12th Capek Prize opened in Wuhu on June 5, with discussions on cutting-edge trends, core technology breakthroughs and ecosystem collaboration to chart a course for high-quality growth of the robotics industry.
Wuhu ranked sixth in the "Top 10 Chinese Cities for Robotics 2025" released at the event. Over 12 years, the city has built an ecosystem featuring locally made key components, robot performance on par with international standards, diverse smart equipment, system integration across sectors, early-stage humanoid robot applications and deep AI integration. It has fostered industry-leading companies and public service platforms. By 2025, Wuhu had gathered over 350 upstream and downstream robotics enterprises, with an annual output of 41.5 billion yuan.
At the keynote session, Sun Lining, foreign academician of the Russian Academy of Engineering, Xiong Rong, professor at Zhejiang University, and Zhang Guibing, general manager of AiMOGA Robot, delivered in-depth analyses on robot technology innovation and industrial application. Topics spanned sensing technology for embodied intelligent robots, high-precision general-purpose application engines and pathways to industrializing humanoid robots.
At the industry forum, Chu Jianhua, founder of Kaixuan Intelligent Technology and CTO of Leaderdrive, and Nie Kaixuan, founder and CEO of Songying Technology, explored cutting-edge topics including intelligent force-controlled joints and planetary roller screw actuators, physical AI and embodied intelligence. Their discussion offered insights for the industry.
A signing ceremony was also held for enterprises joining the Jiuzi Science and Technology Innovation Bay Intelligent Robot Incubator in 2026. Ten companies, including Anhui Xinggui Intelligent Control Technology Co., Ltd. and Anhui Jupai Electromechanical Co., Ltd., signed agreements covering intelligent control, precision electromechanics, information technology and electronic skin— spanning key links in the intelligent robot industry chain and injecting new momentum into Wuhu’s robotics ecosystem.
