Foreigners can exchange up to 20,000 yuan in RMB cash in advance before entering China.

Upon arrival in Wuhu, the following three channels are available to exchange RMB cash: bank branches, foreign currency exchange agencies, and ATM machines.

1. Bank Branches

Exchange at a bank branch with a "Currency Exchange" logo with valid personal IDs. At present, there are 149 bank outlets in Wuhu city that are qualified for personal foreign exchange settlement and sales. You can check the nearest exchange point and exchangeable currencies by logging into the bank's official website or calling the official customer service.

2. Foreign Currency Exchange Agencies

There are currently 18 foreign currency exchange agencies in Wuhu city, which are located in foreign-related hotels, scenic spot and other places. They support the exchange of foreign currency cash for RMB cash, and the exchange requires a valid personal ID. The cumulative daily exchange per person shall not exceed the equivalent of RMB 10,000, and the annual exchange shall not exceed the equivalent of RMB 50.000.

3. ATM

ATM machines can provide 24-hour uninterrupted service. An overseas bank card can be used to withdraw RMB cash directly from an ATM that recognizes overseas bank cards. Each transaction must not exceed RMB 3.000.
