Anhui Normal University

Founded in 1928, Anhui Normal University (AHNU) is the earliest-established institution of higher education in Anhui Province. The University is located in Wuhu, a national-level open city in close proximity to Shanghai and Nanjing. Covering a land area of 2,017,400 square meters, the university is home to a faculty and staff of approximately 2,800 members, including over 1,000 professors and associate professors. The current total enrollment stands at 35,100 undergraduate students and 9,600 graduate students. AHNU is a key university jointly supported by the Anhui Provincial People's Government and the Ministry of Education of China. The university has developed a comprehensive educational system featuring high-quality undergraduate and graduate programs, awarding bachelor's, master's, and doctoral degrees. It currently offers 89 undergraduate programs, 30 master's degree programs and 12 doctoral degree programs.

AHNU is among the first universities in China authorized to enroll international students under the Chinese Government Scholarship Program. It is also designated as a National Base for Chinese Language Education, an International Exchange and Cooperation Base of Anhui Province, and an official test center for the Chinese Proficiency Test (HSK). Equipped with advanced teaching facilities and a strong faculty, the university has built a professional teaching team dedicated to teaching Chinese as a foreign language. It has developed a successful educational model characterized by "small-class instruction, personalized guidance, and supplementary elective courses and extracurricular activities."

Since 1985, over 5,000 international students from over 60 countries and regions have been trained or graduated from AHNU. With a global and future-oriented vision, the university is committed to providing high-quality educational services to international students worldwide.
