Enrollment Procedures for Kindergartens in Wuhu

1. Enrollment Guidelines Issued by Municipal Government

Wuhu Municipal Education Bureau issues the annual Enrollment Guidelines for Kindergartens.

2. Enrollment Plans Released by County/District Government

Each county, county-level city, district, and the Economic and Technological Development Zone (ETDZ) shall determine, in light of local conditions, the enrollment scope, capacity, and application timeframe of kindergartens in its jurisdiction, and release an enrollment notice accordingly. Details are as below:

Parents or guardians of kindergarten-age children shall submit the child’s birth certificate, household registration certificate (hukou), and other required documents within the application timeframe specified in the enrollment notice.

Application Materials for Children of Foreign Nationals

Foreign nationals applying for kindergarten enrollment on behalf of their children shall submit the following documents:

(1) A valid passport and a valid Chinese visa or residence permit, for both the applicant and the child;

(2) Proof of the parent-child relationship (or proof of guardianship);

(3) Proof of residence in Wuhu.

4. Admission

The Education Bureau of each county or district, in conjunction with the kindergartens concerned, shall determine admission in a fair and impartial manner.

5. Registration

Admitted children shall, within the specified timeframe, report to the admitting kindergarten with the required documents (as noticed by the kindergarten). Failure to register within the prescribed timeframe shall be deemed a voluntary relinquishment of the admission.
