This newspaper (reporter Wu Anya) reported that at 8 pm on May 10, the national intangible cultural heritage representative projects "Wuhu Iron Painting Forging Skills" and "Lantern Dance (Wuwei Fish Lantern)" made a wonderful appearance in the large-scale cultural program "China in Intangible Cultural Heritage" on CCTV Comprehensive Channel (CCTV-1). This is the second time that Wuhu intangible cultural heritage has appeared on CCTV after the original dance "Dragon Gate Leap" based on "Wuwei Fish Lantern" was performed at CCTV's "2025 Intangible Cultural Heritage Gala" during the Spring Festival holiday of the Year of the Snake.

The large-scale cultural program "China in Intangible Cultural Heritage" Anhui Chapter was jointly produced by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism and China Central Radio and Television. The host Long Yang, Shan Jixiang, director of the Expert Committee of the Chinese Cultural Relics Society and director of the Academic Committee of the Palace Museum, and actor Wei Daxun encountered more than 30 characteristic intangible cultural heritage projects in Anhui, and demonstrated the integration of Anhui's traditional skills and modern development through immersive experience and technological integration.

In the Wuhu iron painting segment, Zhang Jiakang, a national representative inheritor of Wuhu iron painting forging skills, introduced the Wuhu iron painting "Fuchun Mountain Dwelling" forged by himself, which is 11 meters long and 0.62 meters wide. The iron painting version of "Fuchun Mountain Dwelling" was forged by Zhang Jiakang in 22 months. "Through the most 'hard' painting, the softest feelings are expressed. Wuhu iron painting has a unique technique and is a school of its own. The skills and charm are shown between the virtual and the real!" The host Long Yang exclaimed.

In the Wuwei fish lantern segment, the program first presented the dance "Dragon Gate Leap", and the fish lanterns were cruising to outline the strong Anhui style. This was created by the Wuhu Art Theater, which innovatively integrated the agility of modern dance with the traditional fish lantern dance, giving the Wuwei fish lantern a new era of narrative tension and aesthetic value. In the program, Long Yang, Wei Daxun and Shan Jixiang interacted with Ren Juntang, the national representative inheritor of the lantern dance (Wuwei fish lantern), and danced the fish lantern together to feel the beauty of the dancing fish lantern. As the fish lanterns fluttered, the ingenuity of the craftsmen and the thousand-year-old skills complemented each other, showing the profound cultural heritage of Wuhu and the unique charm of traditional art.
