The Anhui Provincial Committee of the China Democratic League came to Wu to carry out democratic supervision activities over the ecological and environmental protection of the Yangtze River
On March 25, Zheng Yongfei, vice chairman of the Provincial Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference, chairman of the Provincial Committee of the Democratic League, and academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, led a team to Wuhan to carry out democratic supervision activities on the ecological and environmental protection of the Yangtze River. Hou Yuhong, deputy secretary-general of the Provincial CPPCC and full-time deputy chairman of the Provincial Committee of the Democratic League, accompanied him. Hou Mingwen, member of the Standing Committee of the Municipal Party Committee and Minister of the United Front Work Department, and Lu Feng, vice chairman of the CPPCC and chairman of the Municipal Committee of the Democratic League, participated.
Zheng Yongfei and his entourage first came to Yuxi Ferry in Erba Town, Jiujiang District, to learn more about the land acquisition of Yuxi Ferry tidal flat and nearby areas, as well as the treatment of small river ditches near Yangguai Drainage and Irrigation North Station of Hougeng Group of Tianhe Village. In the Chengnan Cross-River Tunnel Intelligent Control Center, Zheng Yongfei looked at the exhibition boards, listened to the report, and learned in detail about the specific work of tunnel design and planning, engineering progress, key difficulties, and scientific and technological innovation. At the Wuhu Big Shield Wharf, Zheng Yongfei had detailed exchanges with relevant responsible comrades to gain an in-depth understanding of the investment and operation of the wharf construction, as well as the specific implementation of port ships, wharf operations and environmental protection around the wharf.
Zheng Yongfei and his entourage also went to the command point of the Huisheng Lianwei Tongjiang River in Erba Town, the Wangchong section of the Qiugong River in Huaqiao Town, Wanlan District, and Hongyang Town, Wanlan District.
