Education in Wuhu

Wuhu has 10 universities and colleges, including Anhui Normal University, Anhui Polytechnic University and Wannan Medical College, with around 6,400 full-time teachers and 170,000 students. Besides, there are 23 secondary vocational schools with about 55,000 students. Wuhu has achieved the goal of balanced development of compulsory education, with a gross enrollment rate of 92% for pre-school education and 98% for senior high education. In addition, Wuhu is a leading pilot city in the field of educational informatization.
