Central Government Approves Establishment of Wuhu Cross-Border E-Commerce Pilot Zone

Our reporter learned from Anhui Provincial Department of Commerce on December 26 that Wuhu is on the list of the 24 cities approved by the State Council to set up cross-border e-commerce comprehensive pilot zones. Wuhu is now the second city having a national cross-border e-commerce comprehensive pilot zone in Anhui.

In recent years, Wuhu has seen a rapid development of e-commerce in Anhui and the conditions for cross-border e-commerce are ready, showing a good development trend.

The Cross-border E-commerce Industrial Park in Wuhu Comprehensive Bonded Zone was approved as a provincial one in 2018.

Anhui Provincial Department of Commerce started the acceptance of applications for the second batch of provincial cross-border e-commerce industrial parks in 2019. Wuhu submitted three such parks for approvals, all having passed the in-situ preliminary review by competent provincial departments.

Thanks to the vigorous development of the cross-border e-commerce, Wuhu succeeded in applying for approval of its national cross-border e-commerce comprehensive pilot zone.
