Chery Group's Sales Rose 5 % months on month in September

On October 8th, reporters learned from Chery Holding Group that the carmaker sold 68,358 vehicles with an increase of 5 per cent month-on-month and 2.4 per cent year-on-year.

 

According to the September sales letter of Chery Holding Group, 8,572 units were exported to foreign countries within a single month, up 10.8 per cent from the same period last year. Chery Automobile’s brand-new generation Tiggo 8, Arrizo series and Jetour product series of Chery Holding Group all kept stable sales of over 10,000 units per month. From January to September this year, the carmaker hit a total sale of 506,820 units, among which the sales volume of autonomous models increased 6.4 per cent year-on-year.

 

According to Chery Automobile, despite the overall downward trend of vehicle sales that has lingered in China's automotive market, the sales volume of Chery Automobile has kept picking up. Business of the whole series of its passenger cars, commercial vehicles and special purpose vehicles bloomed and developed in coordination. Above all, driven by its star models i.e. brand-new generation Tiggo 8, Tiggo 5x HERO, Arrizo GX Pro, Chery Automobile’s total sales volume of September had an increase of 16 per cent month-on-month and 12.6 per cent year-on-year. The sales volume of brand-new generation Tiggo 8 hit 11,890 units in September, exceeding 10,000 units for two consecutive months. Arrizo series sold 10,289 vehicles. In the first three quarters, the domestic sales volume of Chery Automobile had an increase of 4.8 per cent year on year.

 

After over one year on market, Jetour product series of Chery Holding Group has become a powerful force aiming at the domestic Travel market. Jetour enjoyed sales of 13,758 vehicles in September with an increase of 1.5 per cent month on month and 76.9 per cent year on year. With brand-new generation Jetour X70 on the market in August and Jetour X90 1.6TGDI in September, Jetour stepped into 2.0 era at an accelerating speed and strived to the sales target of over 20,000 vehicles per month. From January to September this year, vehicle sales of Jetour product series totaled 89,718. The sales of Chery Group’s special purpose vehicles, logistics vehicles and caravans kept growing steadily, leading a 46.4 per cent year-on-year increase in the sales of its commercial vehicles in the first three quarters.
