Chery Tiggos and New Energy Vehicles Excel in their Segments

Compared with international brands in the mainstream automobile market, the ranking of Chinese brands have improved significantly according to J.D. Power 2019 China Initial Quality Study (IQS) on new vehicles. Among them, Chery moves up 26 places over last year to be level with many joint venture brands. Chery Tiggo series and new energy vehicles excel in their segments.

 

The study shows that Chery's Tiggo 3X and Tiggo 3 models win the top two places in the small SUV segment. Chery Tiggo 3X also receives IQS 2019 model awards. Tiggo 8 and Tiggo 5X both rank the fourth respectively in medium-sized SUV and the compact SUV segments.

 

Chery releases that from the birth of the first Tiggo SUV in 2005 to the formation of a full range of product lines today, Tiggo series have gained the Certification for Pre-inspection Exemption and more than 50 EU full-type certifications, and launched the first Chinese brand SUV to the European market. Up to now, Tiggo series have 1.6 million global users, becoming a trusted Chinese brand that meets the standards of the global market. In July this year, the sales volume of Chery Tiggo series were 17,309, of which 9, 241 were new generation of Chery Tiggo 8, achieving a month-on-month increase of 5.9%, a year-on-year increase of 52.7%.

 

It is worth mentioning that in this year IQS report on the quality of new energy vehicles, Chery New Energy has emerged as a new force, ranking third after luxury brand NIO and BMW. Chery Ant eQ1 ranks first in the small electric vehicle segment.
