Wuhu Launches Entry-Exit Convenience Measures

Starting from this month, the public security entry-exit window of the Wuhu Municipal Administrative Service Center has formally launched the convenience measures facilitating foreigners’ entry, exit and staying in China.

 

Upon recommendation from the relevant authorities of the state, the provincial people's governments or the key development regional administrative departments of the state, foreigners with high-level talents, outstanding contributions or special needs of the state may apply to the entry-exit administration of the public security bureau for permanent residence in Wuhu City. Their foreign spouses and minor children can apply with them.

 

In addition, foreigners may apply for permanent residence if they have worked for four consecutive years with no less than six months in China each year, earned no less than six times the average wage of local urban employees in the previous year, and paid no less than 20% of their standard annual income for personal income tax. Their foreign spouses and minor children may apply with them.

 

Expatriate Chinese may also apply for permanent residence in Wuhu if they have a doctoral degree or have worked continuously for four years in a key development area of the country with no less than six months in China each year, and their foreign spouses and minor children may apply as well.

 

Foreign talents and members of foreign innovative entrepreneurship teams for key domestic development fields and industries may apply for residence permits within five years if work permits and letters of introduction from their working units are provided. Foreign members of the innovation and entrepreneurship teams may also apply for residence permits within 5 years with the guarantee letter from their team leaders.
